Our kelp is carefully hand-harvested from the pristine ocean waters of Northern British Columbia, Canada. These kelp beds thrive in fast-flowing, cold waters, an environment that naturally supports the growth of nutrient-rich, high-quality kelp. To ensure safety and sustainability, the beds are closely monitored by the Department of Fisheries & Oceans and BC Agriculture (Marine Plants) for their suitability for human consumption. Harvesting practices are designed to protect the sensitive ecosystem of the kelp forests, with less than 10% of the beds harvested each year. This respectful approach not only preserves the delicate marine environment but also ensures a renewable and sustainable source of kelp for years to come.
